59bhp,
2,370 cc V-4 engine, with four-speed manual transmission, independent front
suspension, rear suspension via live axle and semi-elliptical leaf springs, and
four-wheel drum brakes. Wheelbase: 134.6" (3,420mm)
The 1927 Lancia Lambda on offer is part of the 7th Series produced between 1928
and 1930. The 7th Series, the third-to-last Lambda line offered, featured an
upgraded 2,370 cc V4 engine that produced 59 horsepower and was mated to a
four-speed manual transmission.
This particular car, a Torpedo example, was restored between 1995 and 1997 by
noted restorers Carrozzeria Casella in Turin. It has been given the Automotoclub
Storico Italiano’s vaunted Targa Oro 3rd grade rating. Its burgundy and black
paint scheme and straight body is proper for the period and shows nicely. A tan
interior, said to be of proper Connolly hides, appears complete and period
correct as well. Well suited for vintage driving events and shows, it is very
nicely presented and reportedly in excellent condition throughout.
This Lambda is waiting for its next owner to relish in the remarkable modernity
and wonderful open motoring experience offered by this unique piece of Italian
automotive history.
